- Begin by visiting the Donorship website, and then when you arrive on their platform, connect your digital wallet, as it allows the platform to interact with your cryptocurrency holdings.
- Select your blockchain and token of choice. Currently, Donorship supports donations via the Ethereum blockchain, with plans to expand to other blockchains in the future, but users can select from a variety of tokens available on the Ethereum blockchain to make their donation.
- Choose the organization of your preference, as Donorship provides a list of over 2,000 charitable organizations. Users can browse and select the organization they wish to support.
- Specify the donation amount you want to transfer, in your chosen cryptocurrency. If desired, users can opt to receive a tax receipt for their donation. They would need to tick the appropriate box and provide an email address where the receipt can be sent.
- After reviewing their choices, users click on the "Donate Now" button. The transaction is processed on the blockchain. This may take a few moments depending on network congestion and transaction fees. Once the transaction is complete, users are given a transaction ID (TX ID) and a link to a blockchain explorer (like Etherscan) where they can view the transaction details.
