HYVE Dev Update - Fresh Look and Feel

As HYVE progresses towards becoming the go-to web3 freelancing platform, the past couple of months have brought notable improvements to both functionality and user experience.

With the culmination of the "First Era" of development, October and November updates—V 2.6.5 & 2.6.6—focused on refining the platform while paving the way for future innovation.

Here's a detailed look at what’s new on HYVE.

A New Era for User Roles

A major highlight of the recent updates is the introduction of user roles, a feature designed to enhance clarity and structure within the platform.

All users now start with the default role of freelancer, but roles such as creator, and worker can be earned or selected based on platform activity.

These roles are prominently displayed as badges on user profiles, adding a layer of transparency and helping clients and freelancers connect more effectively.

Streamlined Navigation and Revamped Workflows

With usability at the forefront, the platform’s landing page underwent significant improvements. The introductory section was removed, creating a sleeker and more intuitive browsing experience. New and revamped navigation buttons—Sell and Hire—were introduced to simplify key user actions.

The Sell button now empowers freelancers to create offers, list digital items, or set up secure escrow accounts for off-platform transactions, while the Hire button makes it easier for clients to post job listings or establish escrow accounts for payments.

These changes not only reduce the steps involved in key workflows but also make the platform more accessible to new users.

The landing page also includes a reorganized blockchain section, enabling users to browse listings by network, and a redesigned footer split into three intuitive categories: Social Media, Ecosystem, and Exchanges.

This restructuring ensures that users can quickly find what they need, whether it’s staking options, token information, or direct links to HYVE’s blog and announcement channels.

Empowering Freelancers with Control & Simplicity

HYVE’s commitment to empowering its users shines through in updates like the ability for freelancers to delete their own listings without requiring administrator approval. This enhancement ensures greater autonomy and speeds up the management of listings.

The offer creation flow has also been significantly streamlined, making it quicker and easier for freelancers to showcase their services. Combined with the removal of outdated staking options, these changes reflect HYVE’s focus on making the platform as efficient and user-friendly as possible.

Polished UI and Improved Functionality

Aesthetic and functional updates have been a cornerstone of the recent development cycle. A new sticky header and footer enhance the platform’s overall usability, while the Escrow section was rebranded to My Escrows and Wallet to My Earnings for greater clarity. Similarly, User Activity is now labeled My Listings, aligning the platform's terminology with user expectations.

In addition, small but impactful fixes, such as a redesigned share button that allows users to easily copy and share profile links, contribute to an improved overall experience.

A Platform for the Future

These updates not only mark the end of HYVE’s First Era but also lay the foundation for the next wave of transformative changes.

By streamlining workflows, enhancing navigation, and providing greater autonomy to users, HYVE continues to evolve as a platform that supports freelancers and clients in the Web3 ecosystem.
