New feature: introducing the Activity Log

With the four Eras currently in progress and the First Era partially launched, HYVE is undergoing major changes! We are excited to unveil our latest feature, the Activity Log, comprehensive tool that offers a new level of transparency and insight into the daily interactions within our freelancing platform.

What is Activity Log?

Unlike traditional freelancing ecosystems, where opacity often leads to mistrust, the transparent nature of blockchain technology provides a clear, unalterable record of transactions. We've developed the Activity Log to bring similar levels of transparency and trust to the freelancing world.

In short, the Activity Log is a comprehensive, real-time record of key actions taken across our platform. It's designed to give you unprecedented insight into the dynamics of HYVE. From freelancers applying for projects to clients making purchases of services or digital items, the Activity Log captures it all, providing a transparent view on platform engagement.

What can you use Activity Log for?

The Activity Log is designed to keep a detailed and transparent record of all significant user activities on the platform. By capturing these actions, we ensure that every interaction is documented, promoting accountability and fostering trust among users.

Here are some examples of what Activity Log can be used for:

• Logs when a new user joins the platform;
• Tracks the creation of new listings, new orders, new job listings, updated existing listings;
• Notifies when a solution is accepted/rejected by the client;
• Logs the placement of escrow for tasks, and the creation of an escrow;
• Records any updates made on user profiles;
• And much more!

In order to access the Activity Log, head to the Browse section, in the top right corner. Once you hover, a drop down menu will appear and you can click on Activity to discover what's happening on the platform!

Insights at your fingertips

With the Activity Log, this data is available, in a raw form. However, thanks to the filtering option, you can sort all platform related activity based on the event type (i.e. Listing, User, Jobs etc.), as well as the blockchain on which the event was created.

A prime example for freelancers could be that you can gauge the competitiveness of a project and tailor your approach accordingly. For clients, it offers valuable insights into the popularity of different listing types and how to adapt your approach in order to have the most freelancers applying.

Trends at a Glance

One of the most exciting aspects of the Activity Log is its ability to reveal market trends. By observing patterns in user behavior, you can gain insights into which skills are in high demand, what types of projects are attracting the most attention, and even identify peak activity times on the platform.

For freelancers, this treasure trove of information can guide your professional development, helping you focus on the most sought-after skills. For clients, it offers insights to optimize your job postings, ensuring they catch the eye of top talent at just the right moment.

First Era almost done!

With the implementation of the Activity Log we have now implemented 10 out of the 15 features within the First Era. We are moving forward with the remaining features, including the Invoicing System.
