New token integration: get excited for $DC

Who doesn’t love a good memecoin? Many people have become interested in cryptocurrencies thanks to memecoins, which compensates for their apparent lack of utility within the blockchain space. We are always excited to integrate new payment options, and today is not an exception: we are excited for $DC from Dogechain to be joining the HYVE ecosystem.

Dogechain - NFTs, Games and DeFi for Dogecoin holders

$Dogecoin became a status symbol among memecoins, having sparked the interest of many during the meme stock craze, allowing many to go from rags to riches in a matter of minutes. Nevertheless, $Dogecoin had no utility and could only serve as a means of payment, albeit quite limited. However, the community of $Dogecoin was so loyal that the phenomenon would just not disappear.

Enter Dogechain, a new blockchain built by Dogecoin holders for the community, allowing to bring more complex applications to the Doge sphere, namely NFTs, Gaming and DeFi. Building dApps is now possible on Dogechain, with $DOGE used as gas fees. The project delivers on its promises - no VCs, no trillions of transactions processed per second, just an honest Proof of Stake blockchain, delivering the basic functionalities of DeFi.

For the short time it’s been available, Dogechain has registered 240k unique wallets and nearly 50 million transactions on chain. Hundreds of projects and meme tokens have started building on the chain, with volumes exceeding all expectations.

The $DC native token was launched on August 26, and has already been listed on major exchanges like Huobi, Kucoin and Gate.io. The token iteslf has multiple use cases within the ecosystem, such as staking to secure the chain and governance voting power.

The future for HYVE
